Dual Tuftight Shown
Tight ends occur in the tufting process because of off-quality yarn packages, excess lint in the thread tube or simple yarn hang-up in the creel. Appalachian has developed the TUFTIGHT to detect tight ends and prevent the yarn break and resultant mend from otherwise occurring. Low lines are also reduced if not completely eliminated.
The TUFTIGHT is comprised of a pre-assembled rail, unique pressure sensitive switch, high performance switch covering, fixed entrance/exit hard-chrome-plated hold down bars plus related power supply, control and mounting brackets.
The TUFTIGHT mounts between the header and top guide. Minimum clearance is 50 CM (20"). Style and yarn changes require fast sensitivity adjustment which can be accomplished in seconds by turning sensitivity screw CW/CCW.
