From the
runner measurement specialists at Appalachian the CEPA-2000 
provides automatic runner
monitoring and runner control for all mechanical let-off warp knitting/tufting
machinery. CEPA-2 also features a full complement of pre-set and production rack
counters. Labor is saved through automatic runner checking. Fabric weight and
stretch specifications are rigidly maintained. Style changes are simplified.
CEPA-2 also serves as the basis of a data gathering and machine status display system with
Collector Software available from Appalachian.
COLLECTOR software is available from APPALACHIAN to
poll CEPA units and provide full time tufting machine data gathering. Up to 240 CEPA units
can be connected to the COLLECTOR PC. A standard 486 PC running WINDOWS or WINDOWS FOR
WORKGROUPS monitors all tufting machine CEPA's and polls data every 10 seconds providing
real time machine display status. The display consists of several rows of
color coded boxes; one for each machine. The color code indicates the machine status. Each
box also displays the machine #, style # and running efficiency.
The Status display can be replicated on several monitors throughout the plant operation. The COLLECTOR software builds a FOXPRO database which can be accessed by a programmer to create reports as desired. An operator at the machine can request downloads of standard (alarm/stop deviations etc...) at style change(s).
