ASM 10 The ASM-10
scanner continues a tradition initiated by Appalachian in the 1950's to provide very
effective defect detection at the needles in high speed tricot, Raschel and weft-insertion
machinery.
Designed to meet the needs of today's machined speeds and quality
demands, the ASM-10 is designed for very fine fault detection at traverse speeds up to 125
cm/second (50"/second). The ASM-10 scans the same defect two or more times before the
machine stops thus avoiding "false stops". And we made the set-up job easy
for knitters with menu-driven programming.
The ASM-10 includes a pre-assembled rail, processor-based operator
control, power supply, adjustable detector arm/head and menu-driven programming.
Applicable fabrics include 2/3-bar tricot, fine Denier, multibar Raschel, stretch lycra, weft-insertion, mesh.
Very often applied in combination with SCANNAIR, the ASM-10 provides
for greater machine productivity, multiple machine assignments and reduced
off-quality fabric.
