PRECISE TENSION CONTROL The Appalachian Tension Control System is designed to compensate for the two primary causes of tension variation: warper speed and creel length. The system automatically reduces the added tension to the yarn as the warper accelerates and maintains a constant tension value throughout the speed range. Also, up to twelve control zones provide for adjustment from the back to front of creel. |

HIGH
WARPING SPEEDS
Because of the unique additive design of the Appalachian tensioner, little
or no tension is added at run speed. Some level of tension is added to the front
zones to balance the back. The result is significantly higher production speeds with
little added tension. As compared to post/disc tensioners, warping speeds can be
doubled or more while maintaining low yarn tension at the warper. Higher warping
speeds means productivity!
VERSATILITY
Appalachian has had a great deal of experience with all yarn types, counts
and Deniers. All non-V-type creels can be retrofitted with the Appalachian Tension
and Motion Sensor Control System.
