DenimScan

We have developed and are now manufacturing our new DenimScan Broken End Detector for long chain beaming applications.  Our cameras have been designed in-house, providing maintenance free service and reliability that has been our company's signature for over 40 years.   The system can be retrofit to long chain beaming applications.  Using custom software and hardware design, this system has been developed for long chain beaming only.   Simple operator interface allows for very quick set-up and operation.  Modular, Rugged Aluminum/Steel Design offers simple installation with the ultimate in stability.   Once again, custom extrusions and mounting hardware provide simple installation with maximum stability, as well as, long-life lighting system and unsurpassed product service and support.  This system has been designed with many considerations to prevent operator and/or process interruption.

This system is mounted between the final reed and the beamer.   Using a "backlight" the DenimScan counts the number of ends and compares this with a preset number that is entered by the operator.  The cameras scan the yarn sheet a minimum of 200 times per second. Once an end is identified as missing, it will scan again to verify the end is missing.  The number of verifications can be changed to allow for even more flexibility to suit specific processes.  Typical response times will not allow more than one complete rotation of the beam after detection, practically eliminating lost ends.
