Appalachian introduces the new Person-to-Person Railway Alarm System as an additional
backup system for the ARTABS warning system.
Specifically designed to alert machine operators of impending danger from approaching rail traffic, giving operators time to properly position equipment on tracks to prevent damage or loss of life.
The Person-to-Person system consists of two units, a personal transmitter to be worn and operated by a watchman and the Personal Receiver which is mounted in the cabs of rail maintenance equipment, giving a visual as well as audible alarm, in case of danger.
Servicing is simple, the few parts that exist can be checked or replaced. The system includes plug-in components for fast service.
