ITMA 2003 brought AEI the opportunity to learn about the machine vision technology shown by Panoptes Ltd. After the ITMA presentation by Mr. Mano, it was obvious that Panoptes has developed a vision inspection system that is both powerful and user friendly. It is no longer necessary to send a technician to live with a system for a year after installation. Panoptes detection algorithms are as flexible as they are powerful. Since that time, AEI and Panoptes have explored how they can best work together in the US market. I am happy to announce that those talks have resulted in a partnership of AEI and Panoptes that will re-define textile inspection and service in the US. In February 2004, Mr. Moe Bessette of AEI, Mr. Benjamin Mano and Mr. Reuven Avital of Panoptes made a whirl wind tour of several customers in the south. Everyone contacted was impressed with the technology and anxious to do testing and trials in the near future.
